Live Life on Pointe!

Hello! The art of ballet is something that I cherish. I have loved performing on the stage since I was two-years-old. It takes hard work and dedication to be a true ballet student. The constant thought of one day receiving my pointe shoes, is what inspired me to keep going.

It is an unforgettable day in a dancers life when they get the news they that it is time for them to purchase their first pair of pointe shoes. I could hardly contain my excitement when my ballet instructor announced that our class was ready for our first pair of pointe shoes! At the shoe fitting,I slipped on various different brands and styles of pointe shoes. After what seemed like ages, I headed the ballet barre in the store. My eyes were glued on my feet in awe of the unfamiliar sight of the blush pink pointe shoes against the light cinnamon wood floors.

The pointe shoe fitter asked me to go on pointe. I took a deep breathe and clutched on the barre so tight my knuckles turned white. For the very first time I rolled onto pointe. A wide smile spread across my face. While I was on pointe, I thought of how I would have the memory of this special day forever.
